JOB SUMMARY:
-Troubleshoots, diagnoses and repairs grounds equipment with a sense
of accuracy and good time management
- Handles electric, hydraulic and mechanical repairs
- Understands schematics and is comfortable with researching mechanical issues from resource library
- Manages multiple repair and maintenance projects as requested
- Maintains a clean bay, handles customers equipment with care and minds time management and efficiency
- Provides good written reports on repair estimates as well as on completed tasks
- Works as a team with Service Lead, technicians, sales representatives and parts team to pull resources together to best serve customers
THE RIGHT CANDIDATE
- Actively seeks information to be aware of changes and new technical information in the industries we serve
- Has experience working with John Deere equipment or other competitive brands
- Has electrical, hydraulics and mechanical knowledge or training
- Is familiar with Windows computer system
- Has outstanding customer and communications skills

- Identifies customer parts needs from schematics, equipment information or technical manuals
- Takes care of customers requests for parts and other accessories from telephone, fax, email or personal interaction at the store
- Handles the efficient stocking, display and sorting of parts in both the showroom and the stock room
- Supports the Service Department with resources for parts. Keeps good flow of communication to support technicians
- Follows through on promises made to customers and networks to find other solutions to our customers with outside vendors if needed
- Maintains a clean, neat and pleasant environment for our customers with effective merchandising daily tasks
- Researches & promotes features and benefits for all the lines we carry
THE RIGHT CANDIDATE
- Has basic knowledge of mechanics, small engines or farm equipment
- Has outstanding customer and communications skills
- Is familiar with Windows computer system

- Develops comprehensive sales proposals for customers with options and prices
- Follows up on customers request for more information
- Supports customers needs for information with demonstrations and one-on-one orientations
- Studies program options, new products, financing alternatives and John Deere support programs to educate and coach customers during the sales process
- Communicates effectively with service department to set up units for customers
- Handles all sales related documentation in an accurate and timely manner.

- Has knowledge or experience with Sales of ag and lawn & garden equipment
